August Client Spotlight: The Nickelodeon

As South Carolina’s only nonprofit arthouse cinema, The Nickelodeon has been a cornerstone of the regional arts scene for over forty years. Originating as a one-screen theater in a converted bank building, The Nick has become a major cultural anchor on Columbia’s Main Street, attracting over 40,000 attendees annually.

The Nick offers a diverse mix of first-run independent films, special curated series, and community-relevant one-off screenings. Committed to enriching the film-going experience, The Nick hosts pre- and post-screening discussions featuring experts and community members.

In August, The Nick will continue their ReelTalk film and discussion series. One is a foreign film focus with the 1983 Soviet-Italian drama film ‘Nostalghia’, and the other is a feature-length documentary about the trailblazers who became the first women to be ordained priests in The Episcopal Church, ‘The Philadelphia Eleven’.
